The THORP II upgrade changes the Asetek Initium brake to a fully hydraulic mechanism. It uses fluid compression to provide progressive resistance and a natural return, offering a different brake response from the Initium MLCPC load-cell option. The upgrade is intended to improve pressure modulation through the braking phase.
