SRP GT-R pneumatic sim racing pedal set

SRP GT-R is a sim racing pedal set developed and manufactured in Barcelona by Sim Racing Pro. Its R-Piston V5 pneumatic system aims to deliver progressive, repeatable braking, with an all-metal construction designed for demanding use. This two-pedal pneumatic set includes a structural monocoque base and brake travel adjuster, with rigid installations and advanced adjustment in mind.

The official product page lists availability and an estimated delivery time of 2–5 days within the European Union. Check stock, the final price and delivery terms again on the manufacturer’s website before ordering.

What is included and how it works

Throttle, R-Piston V5 pneumatic brake, 15–45 mm brake travel adjuster and structural monocoque base. A clutch is optional. The 15–45 mm travel adjuster is included, along with advanced pedal-arm angle adjustment. The system provides a 16-bit reading, equivalent to 65,536 steps, and connects to a PC over USB-C.

The frame is machined from AL6061 aluminium using five-axis CNC equipment and receives a 28-micron hard-anodised finish. The pivot points use SKF needle bearings. This combination aims to reduce play and maintain a consistent response under repeated braking.

Adjustment, mounting and compatibility

The pedal set is natively compatible with PC. Console use requires a third-party adapter such as DriveHub, so the complete configuration must be checked before purchase. Because of the force the pneumatic brake can generate, SRP specifies mounting on a rigid cockpit; the pedals are not suitable for use unsecured on the floor.

Mechanical adjustments let you adapt the feel, travel and position to different driving techniques. The aim is to obtain a predictable relationship between applied pressure and braking in the simulator. After mounting, calibrate the throttle and brake with SRP’s software and save a baseline configuration before making further changes.

SRP GT-S versus SRP GT-R

The GT-R is the more fully equipped version. Compared with the GT-S, it includes the monocoque base and travel adjuster as standard, with more mechanical adjustment options. Both share the R-Piston V5 system, 16-bit electronics, machined aluminium construction and USB-C connection. The choice mainly depends on your budget, available mounting platform and the level of adjustment you want from day one.

Verdict

The SRP GT-R makes sense for a PC user with a rigid cockpit who values pneumatic response, precise machining and detailed brake adjustment. Pay particular attention to the final price: the official figure is shown before tax and optional extras can increase the investment. Decide at the outset whether you need a clutch and, for the GT-S, the brake travel adjuster.

Frequently asked questions

Does the price include VAT?

No. The official page displays prices before tax. The figures above include an illustrative calculation with 21% Spanish VAT, but the valid total is the one shown at checkout.

Does it work on PlayStation or Xbox?

Native compatibility is with PC over USB-C. Console use requires a third-party solution such as DriveHub and must be verified with the rest of your equipment.

Can I use it without a cockpit?

It is not recommended. SRP specifies that the pedals need a rigid cockpit capable of supporting braking force without moving or flexing.

What warranty does SRP state?
